How is fairy hair applied to my hair?

If you're not able to obtain fairy hair from East Coast Fairy Hair, it's crucial to inquire about the installation method from other vendors. This will help you avoid incorrect applications that could potentially lead to damage, such as strands melting or chunks of hair being lost.

How long will it last in my hair?

The fairy hair strand is attached to only one single hair strand and will remain in place until the hair that it is attached to naturally sheds. The duration of the strands can vary for each individual, as everyone has different shedding patterns. On average, adults retain the strands for about 3-6 months. However, some customers have reported their strands lasting for over a year, which we lovingly refer to as "vintage strands". It's normal to lose a few strands in the first few days, so we always provide extra strands to make up for it. The first few strands you lose are complimentary!

How long does it last in children?

Fairy hair typically has better results in adult hair and may not last as long in younger clients because their hair follicles are less mature. However, there are exceptions, as some clients under the age of 10 have been able to keep their strands for several months. To qualify for fairy hair, a child must give consent and be capable of sitting in the chair independently and remaining still.

How do i care for my fairy hair?

With fairy hair, you can easily maintain your regular hair care routine. You can brush it using a wide tooth comb or a wet brush, wash it, get haircuts, heat style it (up to 400°), color it, bleach it, or even apply keratin treatments. Just keep in mind that if you have strands that stay in your hair for a long time and go through multiple processes, they might lighten or lose their color, eventually turning silver. But don't worry, this is completely normal! When that happens, it's just a sign that it's time to refresh your sparkle.

However, upon returning home, either dampening or styling your hair encourages the fairy hair to seamlessly integrate with the curls.
